WATER PRESSURE DROP AND COLORED WATER NOTICE - WATSON STREET

Ville de Lachute wishes to inform residents that work on the water distribution system may cause a reduction in water pressure and occasional episodes of discoloured water on Tuesday, August 18, starting at 9:00 a.m. and continuing throughout the day. This notice applies to residents served by the water distribution system on the following streets:
- Argenteuil Avenue, between Tessier Boulevard and Lorraine Avenue;
- Kenny Street, west of Argenteuil Avenue;
- Place de la Rivière.
If you have colored water at home, please let it run until it becomes clear again before using it. We also suggest avoiding doing laundry during this time.
Ville de Lachute is aware of the inconvenience this work may cause. Rest assured that all necessary measures will be taken to minimize its impact. For any additional questions, please contact us at 311 or at (450) 562-3781.

Ville de Lachute advises the population that generalized episodes of colored water may occur today, August 11, due to a major fire in Brownsburg-Chatham.
If you have colored water at home, we invite you to let it run until it becomes clear again before consuming it and to avoid doing laundry.

EXTREME HEAT WAVE

The summer period is conducive to the development of extreme heat waves.
Throughout the summer, during hot weather, Ville de Lachute offers its citizens various ways to cool off, including:
- Water games and the outdoor pool at parc Ayers
- Bibliothèque Jean-Marc-Belzile

RINSING THE WATER SYSTEM - Starting June 28
June 26, 2026 - 09:00 AM
As part of the annual maintenance of the water distribution system, flushing operations will be carried out overnight, between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., over the course of several weeks.
Make sure you are registered for the automated call system and that your contact information is up to date so you can receive a notification before work begins in your area : lachute.ca/saa.
These operations may cause:
- A temporary reduction in water pressure;
- Episodes of colored water. If this occurs, it is important not to drink the water or do laundry, as discolored water may stain or damage your clothing.
